Appraisers as leads for getting clients

As a real estate agent I need more leads for home sellers,

would contacting appraisers help me get leads ?

in return I could recommend them to my clients.

How do I approach appraisers  to ask for leads ?

Appraisers will never get you any business. Most appraisers are sent out by the mortgage company so how would they help you get sellers? If someone is hiring an appraiser for a pre-appraisal on their own property or for a mortgage adjustment, they already have an agent.

Seller leads are out there for you like @Christopher Phillips said - FSBO, expired, landlords who don't want to do it anymore.
