Part-Time Agent

How to find a mentor for a new agent working part time in Real Estate?

I believe online training is a must but what else?

I've sat on my agent license for 2yrs - without any activity. Due to the overwhelming of no's told to me working part time. My fire died out fast unfortunately...but now I'm back again! I'm not going to let all my studying go to waste. I want to start ASAP or no later than March of 2017.

I started as a part-time agent while working a full-time job to keep the bills paid. As I sold more houses I eventually became a full-time agent. You will get several no's regardless if you are full or part-time. Don't tell people you are part-time and just leave that part out of the conversation. You're licensed and ready to help them buy or sell their home. Have the confidence and keep talking to people until someone is ready to work with you. I sometimes suggest holding open houses for other agents listing (within your brokerage) for experience and a good way to pick up potential buying clients. No need for a mentor getting out there and learning as you go is the best way to learn. You will make several mistakes but luckily you will be able to correct them and become a better agent in the future.
