From Chicago suburbs to Denver, CO or Phoenix, AZ
Hi guys Im a real estate agent in the suburbs of chicago. I've been an agent for about 3 months with 3 buyer sales under contract. I'm asking and hopefully get some feedback from real estate agents about their market activity and "average" home sales they are seeing in their business as well the qty per month in and around Denver, CO and Phoenix, AZ.
Basically, I have had the thought of making a move to Colorado or Arizona recently and would love to continue buying and selling real estate as an agent and invest in properties. Would love to hear your experience in these areas. Thanks guy!
P.S. I'm not sure why it took me this long to get on biggerpockets!
Many thanks in advance.

@Travis Eubanks welcome. The average home price in Denver is about $450,000. As you know from the business, about 10% of the agents do about 90% of the business so there really is no "average" agent. A few make a fortune, some make a living and most starve to death or have other jobs.
Our market is very hot. Average days on market is about 20. We have rapid appreciation. That said there are few homes being sold. Inventory is very tight. Each year over the past 3 years the total dollar value of homes sold has decreased due to lack of inventory. That means agent income is shrinking as a whole. Again some agents are growing their business and as always some are leaving the business.
Personally I would rather live in Denver Colorado over Phoenix Az (HOT).
