Ohio realtors license
Hello all,
I have been considering getting my real estate license. I live in Ohio and work 40+ hours per week as a banker and I don't want to give up my 9-5 while pursuing a license. I am looking for suggestions on the best way to accomplish getting my real estate license, networking, and learning the most information while also keeping a full time job. Any information is greatly appreciated, thank you!

@Dell Schlabach while searching for Ohio RE license requirements it said 120 course hours. Were you working full time while getting licensed, and did you find doing the classes in person worth the time/effort?
As Dell said you can go nights and weekends. In Ohio pre license classes must be taken in person. Ohio license law does not allow online pre licensing courses. There have been rumors that online pre license courses are coming in the near future but as of now brick and mortar is the only option.
As for getting a license and having a full time job it is totally doable. I actually advise most of my new agents NOT to quit their day jobs. This is a profession where you make your own schedule so you can do it part time for your own investments or ease into a full time career at your own pace.
The worst realtor is one who NEEDS every commission check to eat. If you are in that situation you won't be servicing your clients to the best of your ability. You may press them to close deals when the prudent thing would be to wait for another one etc... If you have that safety net you are more reserved and will make more money in the long run.
