I've recently started a property management company. I've worked in the industry for 25 years from on site to the executive levels and finally decided to take the plunge.  I'm more than knowledgeable and experienced but its been a slow start.  I'm connecting with various investor groups but without the association to a large Real Estate firm, I'm finding it difficult to compete.  I'm marketing, have a website...even door to door but the results are slow.  Not to mention my area of NC is saturated with property management firms.  Can you share the most effective way to obtain new clients?

As with all small businesses, we have to show our advantages and flexibility of being small. Emphasize your personal service, quick turnaround times, investors dealing directly with the owner, personal touch and other services that small businesses can provide that larger "corporate" structures cannot.
