Good evening. I am starting my pre license course next week. The broker that I want to hold my license is in a small town about 60 miles away from my area. The broker does not have MLS access in my area. Can I put my license there and pay for my own individual MLS access and/or Realtor dues? Thanks in advance for any insight here.

@Alex Flowers

I am not sure about Alabama. However, when I was researching MLS and Realtor dues in Maryland, for MLS the Broker had to have a MLS ID and you needed it to register. Maybe you can talk with the local MLS and see what they require. For the Realtor dues I found the local realtor association for my county has a form that registers and collects dues for the local, state, and national Realtor associations. Double check with the Broker as well. He should be able to point you in the right direction. Or just make the calls to the Commission. I am testing today for my license so this information above is just from personal research. I will be talking with a few brokers for clarification after I pass.
