Address not popping up on mls?

an investor is asking for comps on a property and when I type the address in the mls it has no prior information. No prior rental or sales date? Has anyone ever came across this?

In my local MLS this happen all the time. Unless it is listed for Sale at some point it will not show up. Also sometimes a property won't show becuase of how it is entered; N 123 Main st, 123 N Main st, 123 main st N, 123 North Main st. This is often done diliberately so that the days on market can be manipulated.
