Hi There,

I have located some properties in College Station, TX area and looking forward to buy them. Builder gives 3.5%. I am looking for agents who can share the commission. If interested, please provide the contact details. I appreciate your suggestions. Thank you.

@Harry P - I would ask the builder for a deal first. I am a broker and let's say I earn a $10,000 commission check... well my company gets $3,000 and I get $7,000. It is considered Self employment Income so off the bat I have a Medicare tax 3.8% and a Social Security tax 12.4% - so my $7,000 is now $5,866 - Even if I am in the 15% tax bracket it would bring me to $4,986 - much less if I am in the 25% or 28% bracket.

So that big 10k check is now cut in half - and if my state allowed it (mine does not) I might be willing to part with 10% of the total if you brought in the deal. But it also looks like you are out of state, so who will be attending the home inspection, and communicating with the attorneys, and showing up for the closing?

Even when I broker my own deals I would say each one takes about 20 - 30 hours to handle all the stuff with everybody involved.
