Real Estate Agent vs Real Estate Broker

Real estate professionals, let's clear up the confusion!

A real estate agent is licensed to represent buyers and sellers in the sale of real estate.

A broker, on the other hand, is a step above an agent and holds a higher level of education and experience. Brokers typically have more knowledge about the industry and understand investing much more.

It frustrates me when people in this forum claim to be brokers, but their knowledge and experience level is more like that of a new agent. It seems that the term "broker" is being used very loosely these days. Let's raise the standards and value of our profession by being clear about our qualifications and experience.

Sorry, I just had to get this out here.

Okay well......

In Colorado, everyone is a Broker. Says it on our license.

I know in other states everyone are brokers as well.
