Where do you buy appliances?

Hello, I just bought a duplex that needs updated appliances such as fridge, gas stove, and microwave. I would like to upgrade them to stainless steel and wanted to know where you shop for these items? It’s easy to go to Hime Depot or Lowe’s but is that really the best way? Anyone have another avenue I haven’t seen before?

I've bought just about everything both new and used. I've never had much luck with used refrigerators and so I tend to buy those new. I've bought used ranges and they tend to work well and last without issue.

If you're only interested in buying new, check out Sears. They often have some good deals (and they have some points program I'm a part of which is nice) and their fridges usually cost less than Home Depot/Lowes.

You can also check out the Sears Outlets for scratch and dents (I think American Freight owns the Sears outlets now). A few years back there were silly deals - I was buying smaller 15 cubic foot fridges for around $250 each. They're new items but have minor damage or are recertified.

But the past few years the deals haven't been nearly as good there but it's another avenue to check out.
