What are some other books to check out?

Hi,

I am new to the game, and was wondering if anyone can recommend the next set of books I should read to help better prepare me for my first investment property.

The books I have read so far are below -

More general finance / business books -

The Richest Man in Babylon by Robert Kiyosaki

Rich Dad Poor Dad by George Classon

The E Myth by Michael Gerber

Real estate specific Books -

The Book on Rental Property Investing by Brandon Turner

Building Wealth One House at a Time by John Schaub

Long Distance Real Estate Investing by David Greene

Buy Rehab Rent Refinance Repeat by David Greene

And I am currently reading The Millionaire Real Estate Investor by Gary Keller, Dave Jenks and Jay Papasan.

Any other favorites come to your mind? Let me know if you guys have read any on my list and enjoyed them or didn't enjoy them as well.

@Joshua Sun if you have read all those books, then you are as prepared as you are going to be. The next step is to take action, and go buy a rental property!!  That is where the real learning begins.

In addition to taking action, continue (or start) listening to the BP Podcast or the BP Rookie podcast to keep the excitement levels up. You may also want to find an accountability buddy to keep you on track. As you start making progress in your investment journey, start sharing on social media or with friends/family. The more accountability you have, the better! Keep us posted!

Excellent book list! I've read quite of few of those myself and they've been a big help toward my buying our first property. As @Dave E. said, the best learning begins when you can apply what you've learned through buying that first property. It's a steep learning curve after that but the best way to begin is to dive right in. All the best to you!

@Joshua Sun like you I had read the books, and listened to bunches of podcasts. I felt prepared, but was still nervous. My first deal wasn’t great, it was a base hit, but it got the ball rolling, and I learned a lot.

I now have two rentals, and am on the hunt for my next property.

Hello @Joshua Sun, in the past year I have been driving a lot for my W2 job and decided to make the best out of my driving time. I started educate myself in real estate, and personal development by listening to podcasts and audio books. I agree with the comments - you've read enough, not that I'll ever stop.  I lead a local REI group, and of 50 regular attendees, only a handful of us have even one property.  Analysis Paralysis they call it.  Jump in and learn as you earn!

We have 23 rentals, and the first was our worst investment, and the last two (apartment buildings) were our best.  I'd have never bought the last two if I hadn't learned about cash flow from being in the game.

It Takes What It Takes by Trevor Moawad is great development book. It covers utilizing neutral thinking to gain control. In a space like real estate with variables, deadlines, unforeseen challenges, etc. it provides good prospective and working through those. Enjoy.
