I am possibly looking at the Pittsburgh market, as it is in my price range but obviously there are more factors that go into a strong market. Looking for cash flow rental properties. What do I need to know about the Pittsburgh market? Who has rentals there? Any recommendations?

@Esteban Medina Hi Esteban, There are a few things that can help you in making a decision to purchase properties here in Pittsburgh. First off, knowing the area and it's neighborhoods as they can change street by street. I always suggest making a trip out to any market you're looking to invest in. Not always easy though with travel restrictions, busy schedules and yes Covid concerns. So if that is not an option, interviewing people who are from the area, know the market and can help you in making strong decisions about your investments. Easier said than done when you may not know anyone. So I suggest reaching out to a few people, having a discussion about your plans and goals and find out how that person can help you. Real estate is very much an interpersonal transaction. You've got to be comfortable with the people that are helping you make money.

I suggest start out with making a list of things that are important to you, and things that are more of a wish list but not necessary. Determine your price range, review your financial situation and if you need to finance, check out your options. You may be surprised to uncover options you may never have known existed. In other words, it takes a lot of planning, hard work and determination, but you don't have to go it alone. There are good honest and knowledgeable people out there that are willing to help. Best of luck to you.....Gary
