Question for the full time investors

I currently work a full time job and have been investing this past yr in my spare time. I started out wholesaling and have recently started rehabbing. Eventually I'd like to quit my job and pursue real estate full time. My plan is to save a years salary before I take the plunge in order to have a safety net and not feel pressure to take on bad deals just to get a deal. For the investors that have made it full time already, what was your strategy or what tips can you give me?

I spent the last 2 years of my last job building my flipping business late into the night. I invested my time building a sustainable business so I would have a pipeline of deals when I made the plunge. My wife had a w2 job which helped with lenders. In year one I made my previous salary and hired our first employee. Year 2 I tripled my income and hired second employee. you need to build a business that keeps deals in the pipeline and make sure your bankers are okay with you losing the w2.

Imo, fix and flip or wholesaling is the best way to go full time in this business. It would take a decade of buying rentals to have the cash flow to go full time. fix and flip your way into this business and then start accumulating rentals with your
