Hello BP family, We are newbies. We are looking for Multi family unit in Long Beach, CA. Our plan is to do STR for one unit and other units for Long term rental. Our budget is 1-1.2M. What are your thoughts?

Hi @Shefali Golvelker, great idea and the feedback here is spot on. If I can add anything, I would say to plan your numbers around long term rental income so that if/when STR isn't an option, you've covered. We work mainly with house hack clients in Long Beach and find that San Pedro also has a lot of upside. The last piece I'll add is that duplexes might be your focus because 3-4 unit properties have strict finance guidelines.

Hope this helps!
