LLC (Single Member) - Set Up in California

Duke Choi
Posted

I am new to the forum and I am glad that I found this. I actually have two properties (still paying mortgages) in CA and I am planning to turn one of them into a rental property. I've researched, watched and read many and I would your expertise on LLC (Single Member);

Q1) Should I create LLC on my own or should I use online service (Legalzoom)? Any feedbacks on Legalzoom? Pros and Cons?

Q2) Once created LLC, what type of insurance should I get for rental property?

Q3) Any other items that I need to get?

Like I mentioned, I am new to this so your feedbacks would be appreciated. I am planning to purchase more properties down to road (not right away).

Thank you in advance.
