From LP to GP for MF how to stop LP'ing and start operating
Hey guys!
It has been about 2 years since I found bigger pockets and wow what a journey it has been. Since then I have decided on MF apartment syndication as my route and have fallen in love. The problem is: I want to be a GP / do my own deals someday. I've invested over 6 figures of my own capital in LP deals but the sponsors do not want to give me time to learn the ropes/help with anything. I am handy with websites/numbers as the money I got for the syndications I made from my iPhone app freelance software company I started. I am 21 years old right now and am very fortunate to have made this cash from software but I want to break into syndication and have the free time / am hungry to grow.
Does anyone have any ideas/stories on how to go from LP to GP or how to choose the right operator to partner with? My strategy was to join a deal as a LP and build a relationship but that didn't work :(
