Choosing lenders when OOS

Hey BP family , I'm currently confused on the route to go about with lenders. I'm an new OOS investor looking in some markets and people have been recommending I find a lender in my market first. I do have a hard money lender that does nationwide lending that already pre-approved me and also provided me with POF. My question is should I be speaking with lenders in my market i plan on investing instead? Or keep the lender I already have now and start making offers in other states?

Appreciate and solid advice and any lenders in the Cleveland,OH or Milwaukee,WI area
