Education necessary for property investment

Doing a bachelor's degree in administration, management and property evaluation. Wondering if high education is useful for long term property rental investment. Also, if someone has done something similar and if so how did this education make you better at finding good investments and maximizing profit.

Education is never the wrong choice. I have a Masters degree and one day, I'll likely complete my PhD. And, education can be a stall to action. More than half the classmates I attended school with have done nothing with their degrees.

That's true when you look at real estate too, and it's true no matter what kind of education you're talking about. There are people who have self-educated in real estate investing but never taken the step to buy a rental or flip a house, or invest in a parcel of vacant land.

And there are people who have bought ten rental houses without ever spending time educating beyond how to sign a a purchase agreement. Don't make education the focal point. Grow rich in knowledge and make the most of everything you learn. You won't regret it.
