How to invest with no W2

I've looked into real estate before a few years ago when I was working, but never actually went anywhere with in. Fast forward a few years, I'm now a stay at home dad, and would love to help contribute financially for my families future. So I'm back to square on with real estate investing. 

I'm a full time stay at home dad, and part time real estate photographer, and my wife runs a few of her own businesses. So I do now have a W2 so I'm assuming bank financing is out of the question. I know there are other options, does anyone have any suggestions where to look.
