1st Property Strategy

Hi all!

I’m looking to purchase my 1st investment property as a buy and hold rental in the Chicagoland area. Current primary residence is a townhome. Any suggestions on what type of property to invest in as newbie landlord? What would the financing terms look like?

The idea is to start off small and get experience under my belt/learn as much as possible. I would like to slowly start building my portfolio.

Thanks for your help!!

@Sarah West

Thanks for your input Sara! Ive been reading alot too!

I highly recommend the BP podcasts and listening to “Straight Up Chicago Investor” podcast. I know you are in AZ but great topics are covered in the episodes. Good luck!
