Preparing to Buy First Property!

Mark Lerret
Posted

Hi BP!

I am finishing school in May and looking to move to Jacksonville, FL this summer.  I want to buy a small multi-family and house hack it to start my real estate journey, but I have several months to prepare before I buy.  I am learning as much as I can about real estate investing in general, but I would like to know what I can be doing to learn as much as I can about the specific market I want to move to.  What can I be doing now?

I'm a little biased, but I think that finding a great realtor in your target area is super important. If you know people in the area--ask around--word of mouth is always the best source. Read reviews on Zillow/Realtor.com too!
