Do you need multiple websites

Alexis Bohlander

Hi, I'm a new member and excited to be here. I have a buy and hold property right now but that's it. I want to expand my real estate investing and was told it's good to have a Company website, Motivated seller website, and Buyer's website. Has anyone found this to be true?

@Alexis Bohlander From an SEO standpoint, I would consider this (with some exceptions) a disadvantage. You want your website to be as high in Google Search rankings as it possibly can be. Every website that links to your site passes value (or "link juice") to your site. The more link juice you have, the higher your website will rank.

If you spread that juice out over three websites, you'll likely end up ranking lower in all three than you would with one.

Again, there are some exceptions to this. If you are a proficient search engine marketer, you could share value among the three sites. Or, if the three businesses are in totally different fields (like if you own a pizzeria and a landscaping company), collecting those businesses onto one site may be detrimental to your ranking. But in this case, it sounds like multiple pages on a single site will be the way to go.
