1st Deal Deadlock - Current Tenant Won't Make Time For Appraiser
Hello all,
As the title says, I'm closing on my first ever deal and I am at a standstill. Apparently the current resident won't make time for the bank's appraiser to go to the property to view it. Clearly the seller isn't motivated enough to push this deal along. Does anyone have any suggestions of what they would do given this situation.
Understandably the current tenant works and isn't home till after 5:30pm which is too late to take photos for the appraiser. I've met the current tenant once, they enjoy living there (5 + years) and have no interest in moving which I had no plans on removing them. This is my first ever deal and a pretty good one that I don't want to lose out on. Any creative insight on this would be appreciated.
Thanks BP Community.

@George Brown That's a tough position to be in.
What about attempting to have another conversation with the tenant your self and explain your plans to keep them in their space? Perhaps you can indicate that if they don't allow the appraiser in that the next buyer might not be as keen to let them stay and that you are just looking for win win. On the seller front, you can just threaten to back out of the deal. If they are working with an agent, that agent should be trying to convince them to work with the tenant because the issue will just arise again.
