Rental newbie seeking help

I'm new to the investing field and currently stationed overseas, but I would like to take the next step to purchase a rental property. I had been living in Virginia before coming overseas and now I'm looking for someone to help me get started in multifamily residential rentals. Can someone offer me advice or help me to get started? I have taken the steps to form an LLC with the help of my sister living in Virginia, any advice would be welcome.

@Marla Miller Chong - I also recommend reading David Greene's Long-Distance Real Estate Investing book. Almost all of it will apply to overseas investors too.
