Creating a sellers list from Future Sheriff's Sales Information

Hello all, I was going through the past Sheriff's Sales in my county, and had an idea to use the addresses from future Sheriff's Sales to send my "We Buy Houses" postcards to. In our county, they have lists of the future auction properties 4 months in advanced. I was wondering if anyone has used this strategy and if they think it would work or not? My concern would be that by the time they are posted it would be too late to purchase the property from the owner, but maybe not the bank? Thanks and look forward to hearing you comments!
