Advice For Beginners
Hey everyone, I'm Nick. I'm 19 years old and moved from Vermont to Austin about two months ago. I'm currently trying to get involved in real estate in any way I can. Advice on what any of you wish you did/knew at my age would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Hey, @Nick Voyer I am 19 too, here's what's helped me
1. Read as many real estate books as you can, I recommend "What every real estate investor needs to know about cash flow" by Frank Gallinelli. That will provide you with the technical basis that you will need.
2. Network with Local investors in your area by going to meetups and look to find a mentor who is currently doing what you want to be doing
3. Build your credit by getting credit cards (pay them all off before the statement is due). Lenders expect to see at least 3 credit lines along with a good score
4. Consider becoming a real estate agent to gain more experience within the industry
Hope this helps!
