What's going to be the next Austin, Texas?

Which US cities do you think will have most growth in the near future? In other words, what's going to be the next Austin/Nashville/Tampa/Charlotte that would be a good place to invest in real estate? I'm looking for a city that is on the brink of major expansion and still cheap.

Should the focus be on cities that are projected to expand, or on suburbs?

The next Austin is Austin.  Look at the average sales price for Austin over the last 40 years.  A continuous steady climb.  No roller coaster rides.  You can still buy a brand new home 30 minutes from downtown or 15 min from Apple, Amazon, or Tesla upcoming properties for well under $300K.
