investing in condos in Denver

Posted

I'm curious how Denver investors feel about condos in Denver.  It seems like you need quite a lot of money down to be able to cash flow a single family home but condos in the park areas are more within reach.  I've heard mixed opinion about condos  generally but wondering about  Denver specifically.  Just beginning to research real estate investing.  TIA for your time.

@Steve K. is right, it's all pros and cons. The downtown condo market is seeing price and rent reductions. It's isolated to the downtown area. We're buying much cheaper condos in the burbs. A lot in the 130 to 250 range. Where else in Denver can you find a 3 bedroom place for around $200k? They cost a lot less, but get similar rents to homes.

I closed on a condo on September 4th and it was rented within two weeks. There is strong demand for condos (and all property types) outside of downtown.
