Beginning to lead gen

I have submitted for licensure and am now waiting for that to get approved! What do you guys suggest my next move to be regarding lead generating? I’ve been told to offer free home estimates to my social media followers. Would this work? Or should I just stick to advertising and getting my name out there in other ways. What’s a way you have found most successful?
