Going into a deal with an agent.

I am talking to a couple about wholesaling there home. The next step would be to get them under contract but they are dealing with a real estate agent also. The house is off market as well. They haven't come to a price in mind yet. Will the real estate agent advise them not to deal with me? Will the couple have to lose there agent to sign a contract? What is the best way to go about wholesaling a house with an agent attached?
