Real Estate Sales Commissions
I'm aiming to get my Real Estate license very soon. Once I get it, is it possible to work once/twice a week for a broker? Or possibly at home? Ideally, I want to score a couple big sales (yes, I understand this wont come as quickly) so I'll be able to quit my 9-5 and do this full time and then I can invest into rentals.

It'll definitely take some time to nail your first BIG sale (unless you have a family member that jumps from house to house pretty often with expensive taste!). It took me about 6 months before I got a decent commission check, but I started out in an area where I have no family, etc, to leverage.
What you're asking to do is definitely possible; however, the more time you put in, the larger the possibility for a big contract. Just do some solid interviewing with multiple brokerages before you decide. You'll find the right fit with everything you want with detailed interviewing, etc.
