Looking for a contractor , good and budget friendly, I am a house flipper and I visit my houses every day , to make sure work is done. I live in the twin cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota.

I am planning to do a big project in Saint Paul, including an addition, will be calling references.

At the front welcome desk of my contracting co. we prominently displayed the sign:

"We do 3 kinds of work around here; Good, Fast, Cheap. You can pick any 2. If it's Fast & Cheap it will not be Good, If it's Good & Fast it will not be Cheap. "

This is what I like to call The Reality Paradox, where people spend ridiculous amounts of time and stress attempting to get the unrealistic result of quality work, readily available when they need, for the bottom of the barrel prices, with excellent reliability. And over and over again they hire the "jack-wagon" who just told them what they wanted to hear, and over and over it results in a disaster. Yet, for some reason, insanity ensues as one does the same thing over and over expecting a different result. The Reality Paradox.

Quality has a price, as it should. Reliability charges as it can because it is earned. Time has a value, not having to chase GC's around has a value.

I would highly suggest looking for a quality value GC and not a quality "cheap" GC as that is an oxymoron of a statement itself unless you a-ok with really slow.
