Best Way to Find Rent Comparables

Blake Bryant
Posted

I am looking to acquire my first investment property in Tampa/St. Pete, FL. The plan right now is to study the market for roughly a year while I save up enough for a 5% downpayment. I'm thinking about taking the house hacking route, and I've turned on notifications for Zillow and Realtor.com for properties that fit my criteria (duplex, triplex, quad). Some of the property listings don't include rents numbers for each unit. What is the best way to get rent comps for the area to get a better understanding of what I may be able to get in rent?
