Hey everyone, I recently moved to Atlanta and am looking into doing my first flip in the suburbs. Would love to connect with any investors who have experience in the suburbs of south Atlanta, as well as any GCs, lenders, wholesalers, agents, etc. Also, any real estate organizations/meetup recommendations. Thanks!

Hey everyone, I recently moved to Atlanta and am looking to do my first flip in the suburbs in the next few months. Would love to connect with any investors who have experience in the suburbs of south Atlanta, as well as any GCs, lenders, wholesalers, agents, etc. Also, any real estate organizations/meetup recommendations. Thanks!

I appreciate you informing me about the insurance challenge on older properties. I didn't even consider that. I'm excited to learn more about the market and get into the business.

My name is Blake Bryant and I am from St. Petersburg, FL. I just graduated from the University of Florida with a Master's in Real Estate. My current plan is to work for a year and save up enough money to purchase my first property, which will give me time to study the market and specific neighborhoods I want to invest in. I'm thinking about pursuing the house hacking strategy and putting down 3.5-5% on a property, where I will live for one year. I'm going to target duplexes, triplexes, and quads and study pricing and rent trends over the next year to educate myself on the market. Would love to hear from anyone who has done this before and anyone in the area who invests in multi-family assets.

I am looking to acquire my first investment property in Tampa/St. Pete, FL. The plan right now is to study the market for roughly a year while I save up enough for a 5% downpayment. I'm thinking about taking the house hacking route, and I've turned on notifications for Zillow and Realtor.com for properties that fit my criteria (duplex, triplex, quad). Some of the property listings don't include rents numbers for each unit. What is the best way to get rent comps for the area to get a better understanding of what I may be able to get in rent?
