Real Estate CPA in College Station/Austin/Houston

Just starting my RE journey.  I plan to buy a duplex or 4 plex in the next 6 months (I'm in a college town and prices tend to dip once the fall semester has started).  I've talked to lenders and RE agents and am thinking I need to add a CPA with RE knowledge.  I'm in College Station, and I don't see anyone that really specializes in real estate.  Austin and Houston are about an hour and a half away, so I'd be fine making that drive if needed.  Dallas is 3 hours away, so that a possibility  (but, man that's a drive)

On a related note...do you guys think I really need a CPA?  I do my own taxes, but I'm thinking there's probably enough tax law that I don't know that I don't know, that it would make sense for me invest in a CPA.  I'm hoping to find someone that treats taxes like I do--be aggressive on tax decisions even if that increases the risk of audits slightly.  Not looking to break the law, but I like seeing how far I can bend it...

I use Keith Kuttler. He is located near downtown Bryan. He comes from an acquisitions background. He handles my 3 companies (2 are real estate related) as well as my personal stuff. He also doesn’t have ticky-tack fees like taking a phone call, etc. I’ve been with Keith for a couple years now.

I also have a past client who works at Seidel Schroeder and Co. They are a bigger firm (which I generally don’t prefer).
