I’ve house hacked multiple times and helped others do the same. It’s got me where I am today and I think it’s easily the best way to get started. Ask me anything!

How do you get your significant other on-board?

So... this will vary widely depending on your significant other, but here's a list of whats worked for me and others I've worked with.

-Watch HGTV!!! The before and after gets people excited! You should be buying properties you can fix up and add value. One client I recently worked with had his wife go from nervous wreck to rehab junkie. People love beautifying spaces. Let your spouse be in charge of design! Let them pick the finishes!

-Hang out with the family of someone who's successfully invested in real estate. This will show them that real estate investors aren't crazy and that they aren't so different. Often they notice that these families are able to take a few more vacations and live in nicer neighborhoods than the average family. :) That definitely provides some motivation.

-Do a 'fear setting' exercise with them. I learned this from Tim Ferriss so all kudos to him. Talk through the WORST possible situation with them. You might think this would scare them, and it will, but once you know and accept the worst possible situation it reduces the fear of the unknown.

-Get them reading and learning with you. You could agree to take her to that movie you've been dreading in exchange for them reading 'rich dad poor dad.'

There are many more, but I think
