I am 17.What should I do to prepare for my future in Real Estate?

I am 17 and I will be going to college next year. I am very eager to start a career in real estate but I am not sure when or how to start.

I will be going to college next year so I am not sure if there is any way that I can invest in real estate while in college or if I should wait till I graduate. Money will be an issue since I will have student loans weighing me down. Also, is there anything that I could be doing now to better prepare for real estate investing in the future?

I have done some research into the BRRRR strategy and I think that is what I am going to shoot for. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! Congrats at thinking about real estate at 17... I wish I started at 17.

Best advice, don't do 'some' research... do A TON of research. Become an expert in all the different real estate investment methods. With that knowledge matched with the time you will have to actually work on a property (assuming your class schedule isn't crazy) then you can find a person who has the cash that they want to invest.

I would start looking into getting your Real Estate license so you can start doing further research in your area about current and historic home prices. Also being a REagent you will be able to network with some people who probably have plenty of cash to invest.

Summary:

  1. Become a knowledge goldmine on real estate
  2. Get RE license or start networking to find people with cash to invest
