Market Potential in Annapolis, MD
Hello Investors,
My interest towards Real Estate has sparked quite recently due to the help of a coworker. I live in Annapolis, MD and would like to create my first deal in the next year as I progress in my education. I have a full-time job as a Mechanical Engineer but want to build wealth with the desire to provide for my family's future.
As I have searched around Zillow/loopnet/realtor.com/etc the houses seem to be marked with fairly high value, considering the area (~$400,000 on the low side). Within the next year I would like to house-hack. Is there noticeable potential to invest in this area? What resources do I have to assess the potential in the RE market here?
Any advise is welcomed. Thanks for the listen!

Hey Jacob. Annapolis proper is tough to find flips and rentals. Not impossible, but the surrounding areas offer more opportunity.
Annapolis is great but you need to know the specific streets. There are areas where you'll see $150k houses three blocks from $1MM homes. But you need to know what you're getting in to on the $150k homes.
Edgewater, Glen Burnie, and Pasadena are a few places where investors seem to do better.
I'm in the Annapolis area so if you ever want to meet for coffee I'd be up for that.
