Certified Field Inspector

I was searching through Craigslist and found an advertisement for a class that provides certified field inspector training. However, being as its both on craigslist and a training program I am automatically raising red flags. I figured it would be a good idea to ask for second opinions here first. To see if there is both demand for field inspectors and money to be made.

It Reads: "
Are you a Real Estate Agent, Home inspector, property manager with extra time on your hands?

Due to the overwhelming amount of foreclosures there is a demand for certified field inspectors (fact check please).

NAARPI (North American Association of Rental Property Inspectors) is one of several certifying organizations that provide training.

Then show you how to submit your vendor applications to all the Major Firms who provide REO, BPO, BOP, Property Preservation inspections etc.

Do the math.
6 Exterior BPOS or initial pre agreement inspections x $65.00 = $390 per day
2 exterior/interior BPO/ exit / transitional inspections x $105 = $210 per day
Some NAARPI certified inspectors average 6 to 7 inspections a day. (fact check please)

Seems fishy to me. But If this proved to be true, it would make for a great way to learn the industry from the ground up before I purchase several of my own SF rentals. In addition, my husband works and I don't and I would like to help out. If there is actual money to be made here I would love to give it a shot.

The website for NAARPI can be found here

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it
