Real Estate Information Overload

I am new to real estate investing, other than being the general contractor when my wife and I built our house several years ago. Loved the whole process. That was 15 years ago. Fast forward to now. I have dabbled in direct sales over the years but realized that is not my niche. I do woodworking as a hobby and recently started a rehab update on my house, me doing all the work and love it! That when I seen the vision with real estate investing especially with the roller coaster ride of the stock market. Real estate is a constant.

With all this being said, I have been listening to several podcasts, reading forums, and trying to absorb. For me it’s a little overwhelming with all the information. The end goal is having a rental portfolio with passive long term income. I am not looking at the process of this being a race but a on going marathon.

With a knowledge in construction, a DIY'er, I open to doing a BRRR, new construction, turnkey, or really anything but not really knowing where to start. As far as capital I have right at 100K to start.

Any suggestions or advice?

@Patrick Stager, I think you should pick a lane and start reading, learning all about it. If you think your skill set fits the BRRR method most, then start there. Or if you don't want to get your hands dirty, then buy a few turn key rentals. Just pick one strategy and learn all about it.

All the best!
