Help on getting started
Hey guys!
I’m new here and I’ve been wanting to get into real estate for a while now and I’ve been listening to BP podcasts and reading a ton of books on Real Estate but surely there is always a lot to learn , especially here on BP!
My question is, what would you guys recommend for a first investment property:
1) FHA loan for a single family house( I say single family house because I'm based out of Charlotte,N.C. and can't really find much duplex/triplexes) , live in it for a year then move and rent it out?
2) Start with a cheaper property like a small 1bed/1bath apartment (I’ve seen several small apartments here for 50-60k) and put the 20% down payment?
I would love to hear suggestions and of course any other information would be very helpful.
Thank you guys!

Hey Aaron!
Thank you for the great information!
I didn’t even think about that school side , great idea!
I will definitely keep an eye out because I really was looking for a duplex/triplex.
But getting a multi family home is another great idea.
Thank you once again!
