Minneapolis area buy and holds

Hello, I’m just getting started in real estate. I’ve been forced into the analysis paralysis by my good wife who would like our kids to be in school before we start purchasing properties (that’s fair). So I’m paying off school debt and saving money for a conventional loan vs or may do a heloc. I’m in the twin cities area MN and was wondering where to find local discussions, even on the forums. I was thinking single family or duplex to start, but there doesn’t seem to be many multi families in the area. Any insight as to where to find out what’s going on in my area would be great. Thanks!

Chase

@D. Chase Feivor, @Jordan Moorhead is absolutely right! There isn't a shortage of multi-family in the twin cities - it just takes some time finding the right one.
