Developing land For Residential real estate

I recently have became the Custodian of two lot properties in Florida both going for 6,000 property value on Vacant land and 200,000 With a home on the land really would like to develop on the land I have the OK to build a one family home and would like to rent it out can anyone give me any advice on how to do this

Zoning and City Hall will allow you to see what's the best use for that land. You can just go and ask, they're very helpful. It is definitely ambitious for you to start building one right off the bat given the financial burden of new construction. 

Find out the highest and best use of the land and go from there. You have good intentions for the land but maybe you can build something larger and higher value than your original plan.
