Making the First Move

Hi Everyone,

I’m extremely grateful for the BP forums and for everyone’s willingness to share knowledge; what a great place where everyone contributes to others’ success!

I am new to the real estate investing world, and am trying to make sure that I get off on the right foot. I live in Hawaii on the island of Oahu, and I have 100k that I am trying to maximize. FHA loan + house hack here in Hawaii with extra to use elsewhere? Multifamily in another market? Syndicate? Wait for market to correct?

In summary, if you were me, what would you do?

Thank you,

Colton

@Cole Jacobs I don't know much about the Hawaiian market but I'd house hack a duplex to quad, if possible. Get in touch with a Real Estate Investor (REI) Group or checkout meetups with other BP members. This can help you leverage time and effort.
