Lupe Cartagena
Posted

I am in the process of purchasing my first flip. I realized, I dont have a method for tracking my expenditures. Does anyone know of a good software program to track my expenses?

I am purchasing a sfr.

Thank you

1. If you do most of your shopping at Home Depot, make sure you have your Pro account activated and tied into your credit card. This provides an invaluable back up to your receipts.

2. Get a file box and put twelve monthly folders in it. Every time you get a receipt, write the month and year on the top of the receipt. If it's a mixed receipt where you bought some items for home use and some items for the flip, mark what those items are on the receipt.

 1. Yes, HD Pro account is a must.  It's also FREE.

2. I use an excel spreadsheet and my camera phone to take pics.  I am sure there are easier ways but this is what works for me. I like to keep things simple.
