Relocating for work, how can I capitalize?

Tim Lemons
Posted

I just got a job at a tech company in the San Francisco Bay Area and will be moving there soon with my family of 5 and I've been preapproved for a $600k FHA loan.

Does anyone know the bay area market very well?  I'm thinking a duplex would be a great way to go but I don't know anything about this city. It seems like everything is around $1M. Can anyone offer any advice or tips on how to capitalize on this opportunity with my meager half million dollar budget?
