When to hire a property manager?
In the research stage of real estate investing and finding that I think rental properties are the most appealing to me. I was wondering what do most people who just start out do in regards to hiring a property manager? Do they hire one when they own just one rental home? Wait until they own a few? What if their first property is a multi-family home? I like the idea of trying to manage them myself for the first few, but I do currently have a 9-5 job that keeps me pretty busy and was curious how realistic that is. I know every situation is different, but would like to hear a few perspectives on this - thanks!

@Tyler Sipe, you'll hear a lot of opinions on this...
Mine is to get a PM immediately. Your time is better spent finding deals than unclogging toilets and chasing down rents. If a deal doesn't pencil out with an allowance for management, it isn't a deal.
