Should I buy two places or one?

This summer I will be up in Washington state with a sales company and I am projected to make about $50K going Door to Door doing a sales job. By the end of the year I am planning on buying my first rental property and thinking about house hacking for my first property. Do y’all recommend if I have extra money after purchasing the first property that I should try and purchase a second property? Or should I wait a little bit?
