Long distance investing - getting started

Hey everyone. I'm just getting started in long-distance investing and have been doing a lot of research on potential new locations to dive into. I'm getting stuck in analysis paralysis because there's an endless number of places I could go. I'm open to investing pretty much anywhere in the US  and will be doing multi-family. What resources do you rely on when trying to find the best place for your next long-distance investment? Or do you have any advice on locations you'd recommend researching for someone just getting started? Thanks!

@Angie Gould I would use this forum to find a good investor friendly real estate agent in one specific area. Use them as a springboard to bounce a lot of your questions off of and start to use the MLS with them. For now, just pick one of the better places you've analyzed so far and become an expert in that specific market.

No sense in looking at places thousands of miles apart when you’re just starting out, since you’re probably going to move on one property at a time for now anyway
