New to BP and Real Estate Investing
Hi Everyone! I'm new to BiggerPockets and am in search of great resources to help me get started in Real Estate investing. There's so much information out there to sift through -- from "gurus", Facebook groups, to all in one agencies. I'm not sure where to start that will allow me to hit the ground running. Realizing there are many strategies out there, I'm looking for the best place to start.
A little bit about me - I've left my full time job this past summer to spend more time with my kids and help my husband with his small business. I have always been interested in Real Estate, but have never felt it was the right time. I'd like to get involved in real estate investing so that I can create a great future for my family -- one that a typical 9-5 job will not be able to create.
I'm located out of Round Rock, TX - near Austin and would love to hear from those that are familiar with the area - as well anyone that would like to share their experience.

@Sondra Flores welcome to BP!
There are tons of great resources and people on here to get information from.
I generally recommend people start with househacking to prove the concept to themselves and those around them. It's a very low risk, low cost way to get started in real estate investing.
If that's not an option getting into buy and hold rentals is my next choice. Flipping is awesome but there are many more variables and that's usually easier to do when you have a network of solid professionals built up around you.
